BACKGROUND

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is one of the largest humanitarian agencies in the world, providing relief, rehabilitation and post-conflict reconstruction support to victims of oppression and violent conflict. IRC has worked for over seven decades and today is involved in over 42 countries worldwide. We address both the immediate, life saving needs of conflict affected people in an emergency and the reconstruction needs in post conflict societies. IRC entered Nigeria in October 2012 in response to a widespread flood disaster. IRC’s Emergency Response Team, with local partner CISCOPE (Civil Society Coalition for Poverty Eradication), implemented a project to support livelihoods and improve WASH in Kogi State from February to May 2013. This was followed by a 3-month nutrition and food security program in the same location from October 2013 to January 2014. The IRC is now establishing a long term presence in Nigeria with a focus on the NE.  There is one field office in Mubi and in Yola in order to respond to the conflict-affected events which have occurred over 2014.    

Scope Of Work:

• Processing registration with the Adamawa State Board of Inland Revenue Service.
• Tax advice, assessment and remittance of relevant taxes to F.I.R.S. for at least 6 months as from June 2014.
• Tax advice, assessment and remittance of relevant taxes to the Adamawa State Board of Inland Revenue for at least 6 months as from June 2014.
• Verification and audit of payroll and P.A.Y.E., NHIS, NISTF, PENSION, Insurance, Health Cover, Accident Cover and other relevant payroll deductions computations. And remittance from June 2014.
• Tax advice in filing of monthly V.A.T. returns
• Filing of annual self-assessment
• Provision of minimal consultancy (approximately 2hrs per month) on emergent tax and other statutory matters on retainer for 12 months.
• Applications should include quotation for the above services, Company Profile including staff, registered Certificates and all other relevant documents.
