We are an established and growing company in the engineering/technical sales sector.  Our Company is over 20 years old with a total staff complement of over 100 of which 50 are full time staff, 50 are contract staff (site personnel) and 4 expatriates. We are active in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Kebbi, Ondo and other Northern and Eastern states of the country.

  

Responsibilities:

• The ideal candidate will support and deputize for the Managing Director to:
• Oversee Business Development, Administration, Finance/Accounts, Project Management, through the various departmental heads towards improving operational systems and processes in line with the Company’s mission -- specifically, support better reporting, information flow and management, business process and planning.
• Develop robust evaluation methodology and review techniques for monitoring business relationships, quantify success and identify areas for improvement;
• Cultivate relationships with all existing and prospective clients and manage the company’s operations, including but not limited to budgeting, financial management, assets management, resource planning, project management and business development;
• The ideal candidate will play a significant role in long-term strategic planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence.
• The General Manager will lead in the company’s plan to develop, execute and implement policies and procedures to achieve organizational and department objectives.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Managing Director

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in  Architecture, mechanical or electrical Engineering and Quantity Surveying with experience in the management of large building projects and substantial mechanical/electrical components;
• The Candidate should be minimum of 38 years old with a minimum of 15 years post NYSC working experience in at least three (3) but not more than four (4) structured organization;
• Candidate must have occupied a Senior Management position in an organization or organizations for at least five (5) years with responsibility for profit and loss and administration of several subordinates and resources;
• Candidate must have been exposed to travel within and outside Nigerian in the course of work or leisure;
• Ability to take initiative, multi-task, manage a large workload, and deliver high quality work within very tight timelines;
• Excellent spoken English, ability to write with fluidity and impeccable poise.
• Candidate must have working knowledge of MS office tools, particularly MS Excel and must be comfortable with numbers;
• He/She must be commercially aggressive with ability to develop good relationships within and outside the office;
• Candidate must have a clear analytical mind with great mental and physical stamina to work as extensive travel within and outside Nigeria shall be part of the job;
• Candidate must be willing and ready to work long hours
